In the February 13, 2013 edition of the New England Journal of Medicine, scientists report that a Mediterranean diet that’s high in Extra Virgin Olive Oil to be among the most potent allies in reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
The study found that among subjects who were following a Mediterranean diet high in Extra Virgin Olive Oils, there was as much as a 30% lower risk of having a heart attack or stroke when compared to other subjects who were following a low-fat diet.
